Job Purpose
To assist the Marketing Manager in the running of the marketing function by coordinating and delivering marketing events and providing administrative support
Duties & Responsibilities
* Organisation and management of events from start to finish eg. Trade shows, seminars, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, partner training Duties include (but are not limited to):
o checking online registrations received and updating delegate lists
o sending joining instructions to delegates by mail/email
o researching and making arrangements with venues and for in-house catering
o responding to delegate queries by phone/email
o assisting with set up, registration, break down, etc
o ensuring that the online events calendar is up to date
* Regular update of annual events calendar and communication to relevant staff.
* Assistance and implementation of marketing projects eg. Channel, Retention and BDM projects.
* Assistance in Direct Mail and EDM pieces – writing, set up, testing, database/contacts management and feedback.
* Website changes and additions – working with the Web team in the US eg. Event calendar uploads, address changes, contact changes etc.
* Artwork and formatting for marketing flyers, posters etc – designed in-house or with the US for design and approval (Design/Marcomms team).
* Ordering of any stationary that has the Sophos logo on it – letterhead, with comps slips, business cards, envelopes etc
* Ordering, providing artwork and keeping stock of promotional items in the marketing storeroom.
* Monitoring marketing spend on a regular (at least monthly) basis.
* Raising purchase orders and reconciliation of invoices – liaison with Accounts required.
* Supplier co-ordination – liaising with suppliers, quotes, lead times, supply of artwork and materials they need.
* Research on the Internet and general reading.
* Reading relevant publications and highlighting/flagging any Sophos or competitive interest articles and adverts.
* Managing data including distribution of leads to sales representatives.
* Create and maintain intranet pages to ensure that the local Sophos teams are kept informed about local Marketing activities

* Ability to travel interstate and overseas if required
