Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review fabric and trim colour submissions
• Track and maintain records for lab dips, strike offs and bulks for fabric and trim approvals
• Complete approvals in a timely manner to maintain on time delivery
• Work with the fabric suppliers to resolve problem on lab-dipping and bulk colours
• Monitor vendor colour performance, issue monthly KPIs
• Establish good working relationships with suppliers, merchandising teams and Australian colleagues
• In charge of color standard ordering, issuing and supply
• Be able to manage multiple tasks and projects

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma/Degree in Textile Chemistry or related disciplines.
• Solid experience (minimum 3 years) in textile colour evaluation of apparel is preferred. Experience will determine the applications consideration for a senior colourist role
• Thorough understanding of visual and instrumental colour evaluation procedures with accurate and consistent technique: ability to use spectrophotometer, light boxes and other colour tools
• Knowledge of dyes and dyeing/printing techniques
• Working experience in garment buying office/fabric mills preferred
• Excellent in both written/spoken English and Chinese
• Proficiency in PC operation, MS office, Excel and Colour Systems
