This is a position reporting to Software Development Manager. The Principle Software Engineer will be responsible for create large-scale architecture of a cloud foundation product or major cloud product sub-system (for example Cloud provisioning management services). The successful candidate will be a top performer and versatile professional leading the design, development and implementation of Cloud product at eBay. This position will be based in Shanghai.

* Leading to create large-scale architecture of a cloud foundation product or major cloud product sub-system (for example Cloud provisioning management services).
* Creates architecture consistent with enterprise architecture standards, guidelines and principles and works with Engineering to ensure that implementations are consistent with the spirit of these principals.
* Understands the broader business context around their area and develops architecture and influences implementation to support it.
* Work with other engineers, product management, QA and Operation team in different locations to lead product design and code reviews; can competently review any aspect of their product or major sub-system leads and collaborates on solutions across teams within a business unit
* Able to evangelize innovations, through prototyping or other means; Identifies opportunities for Engineering productivity improvements or directions, and evangelizes these successfully
* Provides leadership within their team, frequently interfaces with other functional teams' leadership and is frequently consulted by Directors throughout their Vice President's organization

* BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
* A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorighms, and software design.
* 10+ years work experience in software development area
* At least 5-7 years of large systems software design and development experience.
* Good knowledge about performance and scalability
* Mature Debugging & troubleshooting skills in Large-scale software product
* Fluent communication skills in Oral English communication and email writing.
* Working Experience in Multi-national Company is a plus
* Coding/desing skills in Cloud area like IaaS/PaaS or knowledge of NOSQL,Openstack and configuration management tool (like Puppet) are a plus.
