Job description

- Provide Database products support service, such as Oracle 10g/11g/9i, Microsoft SQL server, etc.

- New setup, migration and administration for specified project according to designed solution, including: installing, troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant tasks in Windows/AIX/Linux operating systems.

- Installation, upgrades and patching of Oracle RDBMS

- SQL tuning, Oracle data extraction and data loading

- Database backup and restoration for Oracle/SQL server.

- Database security hardening and user management

- Cowork with project manager, application team and other support groups in project environment; document operation procedure and provide transition to BAU support team.

- Pursuing customer satisfaction to IBM service via professional work

Required Skills:

1. At least 2+ years IT projects delivery/maintenance hands on experience.

2. Expert with the Oracle database environment. Working knowledge of Oracle 10g and 11g and new feature offerings. Hands on experience in Microsoft SQL server implementation.

3. Hands on experience in Installation, upgrades and patching of Oracle RDBMS.

4. Sound knowledge of Backup and Recovery processes and should be familiar with RMAN.

5. Hands on experience in HA solutions like RAC, Dataguard and flash recovery concepts

6. Sound knowledge of database security and user management

7. Basic knowledge of Windows/Unix operating systems. Knowledge of IBM DB2 is a plus.

8. Good working attitude and communication skill.

9. Ability to work under pressure.

10. Target oriented and self-driven.

11. English: Fluent in reading and written is a must; Fluent in speaking is a plus
