Implement and manage the eBay CS Business Continuity Management (BCM) program and framework. Specifically, this includes:

• Overall BCM Program Administration
  
  
  
  • Establish and maintain a coordinator network throughout the eBay CS organization.
  • Assist in driving visibility of programs and departmental responsibilities; Influence business and technical leaders to make correct decisions that take into account business continuity considerations.
  • Give recommendations to executive management regarding the programs of responsibility. Negotiate appropriate resolutions to technical and business problems while maintaining internal and external relationships
  • Assists recovery support and business resumption staff during a disaster in the implementation of response and alternate operating strategies.
  • Report status to senior management within eBay CS as well as eBay Marketplaces
• Crisis Management Planning
  
  
  
  • Develop and maintain the eBay CS Crisis Management Plan in coordination with senior management.
  • Train crisis management team members and conduct regular exercises of the plan.
• Business Continuity Planning
  
  
  
  • Coordinate the development of Business Continuity Plans for all areas of eBay CS.
  • Conduct regular gap analysis as part of the plan development and review lifecycle.
• Testing
  
  
  
  • Coordinate the testing of all plan types on an annual basis to validate the viability of recovery strategies, working with business departments to understand test objectives, scope and assist in the execution of the test.
• All other duties as required.

• Productive team player, capable of performing complex scheduling, control, planning and influencing with minimal supervision. Ability to work with people both individually and in groups.
• Project management capability with strong analytical and independent reasoning abilities.
• Advanced verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to emphasize a desire to provide high quality, customer service. (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Project, Visio)
• Comprehensive knowledge of ecommerce and website technology operations required:
  
  
  
  • Ecommerce architecture and infrastructure (front-end and back-end)
  • Data Center operations
  • System/Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC)
  • Database management
• Travel and off-hour on-call support required.
