KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Leading the electronic design for the new products, selecting and designing the key electronic components and systems used within new products, with safety, EMC, continual product supply and compliance as a focus

·Hosting the design review of the schematics and PCB layout, responsible for the quality of the board level design.

·Technical specialist on all Electronics engineering matters on the team.

·Creating and delivering high quality design documents and reports

·Liaising with suppliers on technical issues with new and existing products

·Creating, developing, supporting and documenting tests to ensure products meet the specifications and regulations and are fit for purpose with suitable margins

·Working with production and suppliers to qualify new parts and components

·Working alongside other Engineers to share and develop cross functional knowledge, providing input in design reviews and PSP support.

·Mentor and guide other electronic engineers and technicians regarding the development work.

Person Specification:

·At least Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering

·Good broad level Electronics knowledge, including High Speed Digital, Analogue, PSUs, MCU and glue logic.

·Experience in schematics capture and PCB layout, solid experience in the design and simulation tools such as Cadence/OrCAD.

·Experience in ARM processor, experience in interface design such as but not limited to DDRx SDRAM, I2C/SPI, USB, Ethernet, etc.

·Ability to write Firmware for 8 bit / 16 bit MCUs, ideally in C or assembler

·Solid experience in FPGA design, skills in VHDL/Verilog languages.

·A good understanding of fundamentals on how to design for EMC, test methods and principles

·Good prototyping, modelling, debugging and testing skills

·Appreciation of Manufacturing methods and designing assemblies to cost

·Strong communication skills, including the ability to present

·Able to work with and understand of mechanical and software processes.

·Fluent in English, both in written and oral, be able to communicate and discuss the technical issues and questions with global team in English, both in Email and on the phone.
