People Strategy & Org Effectiveness

•Engage in BU strategy assessment, contribute to BU strategy to identify appropriate resources, reflect & raise concerns around delivery capabilities.

•Facilitate effective people strategy development discussions with management teams & support managers in forecasting & planning talent pipeline within BU strategy.

•Provide expertise for org design & development.

•Oversee implementation of defined HR strategies into regional / local action plans, liaise & consult with COEs to achieve BU needs.

•Measure progress to ensure HR investments made by the BU deliver value.

•Manage specific projects as determined in HR ops plan & participate in functional & cross-functional Initiatives .

Change Leadership & Coaching

•Coach individual BU leaders to increase performance & ensure a strong leadership & coaching culture.

•Anticipate change, influence & support org change; call out impacts & need to plan for it, design & apply change management.

Escalation Handling & Sr Exec ER

•Liaises with BU & HR Leadership to resolve complex issues.

•Supports recruiting, interviewing, & selection processes; employee separation process for Sr. levels.

•Oversees HR policies & services liasing with HRSS, ensures compliance with local legislation & regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate for this position will be, first and foremost, a business leader who has enjoyed a vibrant career with at least 12 years of increasingly responsible HR leadership positions.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience creating and implementing innovative HR solutions that drive transformation, change and growth and support strategic business objectives. Experience specifically in the areas of organizational change management, business planning, policy implementation, human capital strategy design, coaching, and program management is highly desired.

The ideal candidate will have the personal qualities and professional experience necessary to quickly gain credibility across the organization and with the senior management team. He/She must be able to motivate and guide people through change and help navigate business issues as PayPal transitions to a more strategic and business-aligned HR model.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility required to support both the Global Customer Service and Operations group and the Global Credit Organization and will have the ability to work independently at the Shanghai location yet participate on a team that is geographically dispersed. He/She will be able to thrive in a culture that is collaborative, customer centric and team oriented.
