职位描述

Functions/Responsibilities:

Builds effective relationships with relevant specifiers, such as OEMs, ODM’s and/or (captive) molders to position SABIC as a preferred partner for high heat specialty products across targeted industries and product forms (resins, functionalized compounds, and selective forms). Identifies growth areas and creates demand to expand SABIC’s revenue and segment prescience with an initial focus on Ultem? and Extem? resin

The New Business Development Specialist is expects to

  • Assess industry segments/region trends and dynamics and, together, with relevant specifiers to identify growth opportunities based on long, short term customer needs.

  • Based on application requirements, propose a suitable material solution, or initiate a new product introduction.

  • Effectively articulates the proposed value offering based on specifiers needs and SABIC’s compounding capability.

  • Ensure effective interaction and communication across disciplines at customers’ level, including sourcing, design & engineering, processing, industry standards and to build strategic leadership.

  • Develop and deliver a robust pipeline of new business opportunities for SABIC’s High Heat materials via direct and indirect sales channels. 

  • Track open opportunities with timely updates and collaborates with customer fulfillment members to ensure prompt closure and sales realization.

  • Collaborate with SABIC’s Account Managers, OEM -, Distribution Channel Leaders, and Application Development Engineers to support the specification and design process for new applications with SABIC’s High Heat solutions.

  • Use competitive intelligence to help differentiating SABIC’s High Heat solutions and understands opportunities/implications of adjacent technologies to current opportunities.

  • Seek understanding of the value chain, and potential partnerships to accelerate profitable revenue generation; works with Technology and Emerging Applications & Prototyping teams to close identified technology gaps.

 

Scope/Impact:

The incumbent will drive new growth (5 MM$ or above new incremental annual sales) via specifications at new, or existing accounts through:

  • Translation of proven value propositions in existing application space

  • Translation of proven value propositions in adjacent application spaces

  • Existing High Heat materials in new application spaces

  • Differentiated New High Heat products in existing, or new application spaces

 

The incumbent will propose:

  • Successful opportunity closes for translation across regions supported by well-articulated value messaging, and

  • Customer case studies to support our MARCOM strategy.

 

The growth ambition is to generate and close opportunities/targets valued at minimum 5 USD millions annual revenues for the highly profitable high heat product lines by positioning them as solutions to complex problems in demanding and highly regulated applications.

 

This role will need a regional coverage

 

Requirements:

BS/BA Degree, Engineer Degree Desired

Minimum of 8 years of technical sales experience

Minimum of 5 years of Specialty Thermoplastics Experience.

High heat polymers (e.g. PPSU, PES, PEEK, PPS, PPA) experience required

 

Skills/Experience

Self-starter with the drive and passion to succeed

Excellent communication and matrix management skills

Creative, out of the box thinker, good at grasping new opportunities.

(Entrepreneurial) Initiative taking and successful, sustainable new business development track record

Very strong collaborative and team spirit.  Ability to reach out across organizational boundaries
