Mission:

To further strengthen the CTS purchasing team in China we are currently looking for a Senior Purchaser. You will be responsible for a range of Senior Purchaser commodities (Oil, Filter, Motors, coolers, Fan, mechanical parts, Gear, machining/Sheet metal parts). For these commodities you will ensure the best availability, lead time and quality at the right cost. You will drive localization projects in close cooperation with the purchasing colleagues in the Chinese product companies and in the CTS division in Belgium.  

 

JOB description

- Support our Regional Distribution Centre to assure highest availability of Purchase parts to our Asian customers

- Improve the Inbound delivery performance of our vendors towards our RDC

- Work closely together with CTS, RDC and product company teams to ensure our common goals are met

- Reduce the number of ad hoc issues by a proactive and analytical root cause analysis and definition of an action plan

- Manage your dedicated commodities in an active way to ensure continuous improvement of Total Cost of Ownership while reducing the number of suppliers.

-Drive the Cost Saving of Purchasing parts based on Atlas Copco group requirement

- Drive purchasing localization projects

- Establish clear Supply Agreements with our Suppliers
- Working capital reduction

 

Experience requirement

- Manufacture industry working experience - More than 5 Years working experience

- European company working experience preferred

 

Knowledge

- Mechanical background

- Technical knowledge of compressor equipment and/or business practices is a benefit - Good knowledge and understanding of business systems SAP, BPCS, etc. is a plus

- Good knowledge of Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.

 

Educational requirements

- University degree in engineering and/ or equivalent through experience

- Good communication, negotiating and analyzing skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks at the same time

- Short business trips on a regular base are part of the assignment
