Role : Technical Support Analyst

Location: Shanghai

Business Information Services (BIS) is JM’s global IT function responsible for ensuring that our IT capabilities are not only able to support and integrate technologies, but can also offer insight into future IT tools that could provide us with a competitive edge and improved operating efficiencies.

As we continue to build our Service Delivery team we are looking to recruit two Technical Support Analysts (TSAs) to ensure infrastructure across the collection of sites is performing to standard. They will also provide hands and eyes support for availability management and global/regional project implementation activity ensuring local infrastructure delivers to business expectations (SLA) whilst remaining fully aligned to global IT policies.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
• Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software including supporting desk moves/new work place setups.
• Diagnose and resolve issues associated with end user based application software and operating systems.
• Maintain the IT infrastructure to a high professional standard thereby maximizing the productivity of employees whilst supporting the business plan.
• Contribute to the support and delivery of projects in China (e.g. new production lines, new plant infrastructure).
• Carry out basic systems operations duties requiring local hands and eyes support, including back-up tape management, supervised server restarts, LAN patching, and cabinet management.
• Maintain the IT infrastructure to a high professional standard thereby maximizing the productivity of employees whilst supporting the business plans.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will have:

• Experience of working and resolving incidents with the following technologies: Windows 7/10, MS Exchange/Outlook, Office 365, Mobile Technology, Printer Technology, End user networking, switches and routers.
• Experience of installing and supporting PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software including supporting desk moves/new work place setups.
• Experience of diagnosing and resolving end user issues around application software and operating systems.
• Working knowledge of desktop, laptop, server and printer computer hardware dependencies
• Working knowledge of relationships between networks, phones, mobile devices, PC operation systems, databases and applications.
• Experience of technical implementations with a strong understanding of Microsoft and networking technologies.
• The ability to speak both English and Mandarin Chinese, and the ability to write in English and Simplified Chinese.
