Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer-Engineering Solutions
Report To: Director, Engineering Solutions, Nordson China-Engineering Solutions
Location: Shanghai

Job Summary
Mechanical engineering design

Job Description:
Mechanical design in customized projects. Develops initial design concept and select appropriate materials and standard product. Conducts root cause and failure analysis. Design, qualify and implement technical solutions to all ES projects. Maintain and use lines of communications with other functions and alerts others to downstream effects of design changes. Support the localization project in Engineering Solutions by establishing the localization process, test procedures and test facilities. Implement design process and maintian the project design documents in global database. Generate localized documents, technical manual, providing technical supporting for site service.

Requirements
Education
Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or related specialty

Work Experience:
5+ year's mechanical engineering design experience.
Knowledge and experience in customized equipment mechanism design and system integration.
Skills in mechanical manufacturing and assembly. Focus on Standardized design modeling and planning.
Basic understanding in electrical control.
Be able to read and write technical specifications in English.
Hands-on approach to machining, assembly and trouble shoot.
Be able to carry out designs independently and also coordinate with team members from other functions, e.g. mechanical, manufacturing and application, etc. -- A good team player.
Skills in customized mechanical design from definition into integration on very aggressive schedules and to be cost sensitive.
Understandable written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
