POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Import/Export and Materials specialist will perform all activities related to importation and exportation of products and equipment, as well as performing Supply Chain activities related to our manufacturing operation. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Manage international import/export and China customs activities and documentation.
- Manage the importation process of equipment and raw material shipped mainly from United States and Mexico.
- Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments by ocean carriers
- Develop methods and procedures for inbound/outbound transportation of commodities for designated shippers from offshore locations to warehouse
- Coordinate the proper documentation, including transit documents and customs clearances, imported and exported shipments.
- Oversee the routing of all inbound and outbound shipments booked.
- Oversee the pick-up and transfer of shipments with appropriate partners.
- Ensure import and export documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released
- Place purchase orders with vendors, for spare parts needed in daily operation.
- Prepare shipments and use Container Loading Software to plan for international and local deliveries to customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 3-5 years of international import/export and China customs experience.
- Very good knowledge and understanding of China customs regulation
- Experience in production planning, purchasing, inventory control, high volume manufacturing.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing, and manufacturing-control software applications is required.
- Good English language written and verbal skills.
- Familiar with MRP systems.
- Demonstrated successful leadership, supervisory, negotiation and customer satisfaction skills.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems preferred
- Experience in International purchasing, import/export, and China customs trading
- Experience in Supply Chain Management
