Duties include research into new test/validation technologies/methodologies, design and evaluation of proposed solutions, financial analysis of return on investment, close collaboration with internal/external groups,

managing prototype BOMs and builds, in depth debugging/tuning of custom hardware, developing firmware/scripts/applications run on the hardware and managing many priorities at the same time (hardware, software, logistics, program management, etc).

Some international travel to both Apple and supplier facilities will be required for factory bring up.

The ideal candidate must thrive at the intersection of hw/sw in a fast paced environment and is expected to be demonstrate strong fundamental skills in the areas of electrical design,

microcontroller coding, Verilog/VHDL, scripting and coding in C or C++. of test and diagnostics is a plus.

* BS CpE/EE or equivalent

* 1-5 years of relevant experience

* Strong fundamental EE skills

* Strong fundamental Verilog/VHDL skills

* Experience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology. * Schematic capture and PCB design experience

* Strong communication skills

* intermediate C/C++ programming experience

* scripting experience (i.e. shell, Perl, Python, etc.)

* Microcontroller experience (i.e. 8051, ARM, etc.)
