PURPOSE STATEMENT:

· To execute the packaging development process from brief, to approved artwork, through to print proof. · Working with the internal team and the vendors, ensure artwork is developed in compliance to the Packaging Manual, and delivered in line with project CPA. · To work across function with QA, Supply Chain and Merchandising, as well as with the European team and the vendor to ensure on time delivery and resolve any packaging related issues ·

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure that all Packaging briefs are executed in line with the Project requirements and the Brand Manuals. · Working with the vendor, Merchandising and Quality, ensure that artwork, text, markings and manuals, are properly generated, submitted and reviewed. · Post internal review, ensure all artwork and manuals are submitted to the Buyer for sign off, and that outstanding artwork is properly chased to ensure projects remain on track. · Track and document all amendments to the packaging post brief. · Evaluate packaging quality and suitability for product, transit, cost, aesthetics and environment consideration. Recommend and drive necessary amendments with the Sourcing team. · Proactively work with vendors, merchandisers and OpCos to ensure packaging complies with all appropriate legislation and adopted standards, e.g. packaging minimization, toxic substances, etc. · Produce outline design (e.g. text, barcode, graphics locations) for initial artwork supplied by OpCos or Vendors as necessary. · Produce mock up's for product presentations to Buyers where necessary. · Establish colour tolerance levels, and ensure all packaging complies to those tolerances. · Actively engage in sourcing projects in order to add value to the process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
a) Work Experience	5 years experience in graphic or packaging design.
b) Skills	·Working knowledge of Mac and PC. Proficiency in using a variety of graphics software and standard office software. ·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
c) Educational Qualification	Degree holder in packaging, design or associated discipline.
d) Industrial / Product Knowledge	Solid knowledge of packaging construction, materials, printing and EU legal requirements;expereince with sourcing office preferred
e) Languages	Fluent in written and spoken English
f) Traits	Attentive to detail, deadline driven, responsive and supportive. Ability to work under pressure
