Job description

We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Consultant within our growing Global Operations team based at our office in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, Pudong District, Shanghai although commute from out of the Shanghai district considered. The primary role of a Technical Consultant is to conduct the planning and delivery of software and services to Instem’s customers worldwide. Additionally, this role will provide technical support to Instem internal teams such as Customer Service, Sales Support and Data Centre services.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Conduct planning meetings with customer’s project, quality assurance and management representatives

·         Co-ordinate the deployment of applications to customer environments onsite which will require extensive travel, remotely and via our online Hosted solution.

·         Provide best-practice guidance on the use of delivered systems and advise on third-party software and hardware requirements

·         Configure delivered solutions to customer requirements

·         Provide system management training to customer technical staff

·         Complete and deliver required regulatory documentation to qualify delivered software systems

·         Provide Technical support to Instem Customer Support teams

·         Provide Technical support to Instem Online Hosted systems for both customer systems and Data Centre services projects

·         Ability to travel Globally required

·         Ensure adherence to our Quality procedures.

 

Experience

·         Minimum 4 years’ experience in software implementations

·         Recent experience installing and configuration of Oracle Database software.

·         Recent experience configuring software solutions in Windows workstation and server based environments (Windows 10, Server 2010)

·         Citrix software implementation and administration a distinct advantage

·         Recent experience with basic Windows domain administration including an understanding of basic networking concepts

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese (Mandarin) & English

·         Experience with managing the Quality Assurance processes for software implementations in a regulated environment desirable

·         Experience travelling globally desirable

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field

(Computing Science, Applied Science, or Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
