Summary of the Position

This is a non-supervisory position responsible for laboratories samples, chemicals and consumables management in USP-China. The incumbent in this role will receive, distribute and dispose chemicals to actively manage samples, chemicals and consumables in the laboratories.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for sample log in, distribution, storage and disposal through ELN and ERP system, maintain sample database to meet laboratory, Customs and EHS requirement.

• Responsible for chemicals/consumables log in, distribution, storage and disposal through ELN and ERP system, maintain Chemical inventory to meet the laboratory, Customs and EHS requirement.

• Responsible to create new item for sample, standard and reagent in ERP.

• Responsible to maintain SDS database for all chemicals

• Responsible for controlled chemicals management including highly toxic chemicals and explosive precursor chemical, precursor chemicals and so on.

• Effectively schedule and oversee all lab samples, chemicals, consumables management to minimize downtime on lab projects.

• Ensure laboratory supplies for all projects including but not limited to samples, instrument, chemicals and consumables.

• Manage chemical and sample hazardous waste disposal.

• Prepare monthly summary report for reagents consumption and expired reagents.

• Control flammable reagents amount within safety level.

• Ensure the company SOPs and procedure are followed during all stages of samples and chemical management.

• Work with brokers or logistic group to process the import/export clearance merchandise, spare parts, and equipment for labs.

• Coordinate application for the necessary license according to the Imported and Exported cargo character.

Basic Qualifications

• Junior college or above in Chemistry or related field with at least one years’ work experience or relevant experience.

    

Preferred Qualifications

• Diligent, detail oriented and result oriented.

• Demonstration of excellent project management skill. Highly motivated and organized individual with good interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in chemistry knowledge and knowledgably in materials safety data.

• Excellent writing and communication skills is required.

• Familiar with computer systems like Excel and word.
