He will be responsible for leading a team in developing network related features for the Dust 514 title.
Requirements:
6+ years' experience
Experience of developing server for at least one shipped MMO games.
Strong programming skills, excellent at C++ ,Python,
Familiar with most used network protocols (http, https, tcp, udp) .
Familiar with socket programming, Familiar with proactor & reactor pattern .
Familiar the network diagnose software, know at least one packet sniffer software.
Relation database programming experience .
Experience of Leading a team of programmers in challenging projects, able to give training & direction to the programmers in his team.
Excellent debugging /optimization skills
Ability to work in a collaborative programming environment
Solid understanding of coding process, standards and methodologies
Highly motivated and able to work both with large groups and alone with minimal supervision
Passion for games and online gaming experiences , strong responsibility for the team .
Multi-threaded programming experience
Strong communication skills in English .
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of programmers in the development of network related features.
Hands on coding as part of this team
Partner with Game Design to understand requirements
Work with local and remote engineering groups to ensure best use of shared CCP code
Work with producers and quality assurance to achieve performance goals
Provide technical expertise to develop games or technologies in support of games. This may include architecture, design, authoring, adapting, maintaining, profiling, debugging, documenting, prototyping, and support for entire games or major systems
Reliably create good quality, performance-minded code and ensure team does the same
Assist in the sharing of ideas and exploration of new practices to continually improve the quality of software development for the company
Pluses:
Xbox 360 or Sony PS3 console experience
Physics, math and AI skills
Presentation experience , can give training to team members.
Stackless python experience.
Experience with the Unreal Engine
Web development experience.
