Role Summary/Purpose

GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.The Senior Facility Engineer is responsible for the engineering design work of facility related projects within CTC site. The candidate should demonstrate accountability for designing projects with first priority on compliance, and ensuring the Govn. permitting process well followed.

Essential Responsibilities

•Leading the project engineering design through coordination among project team, end user, and local design firm •Well planning facilities supply/capacity to ensure the needs of new project •Analyzing infrastructure systems capacity and strategically forecasting the growth trends with cost-effective solutions •Optimizing the current facilities systems through value engineering or other excellent engineering approach •Enhancing the current facilities systems reliability through cost-effective engineering approaches •Valuing EHS and contributing to the safety / risk mitigation plan with immediate response/solutions •Proactively communicating with co-located BU to understand the growth needs

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor Degree or above, on HVAC or Chemical/Electrical Engineering•Over 6 years working experiences in MNC, preferred in Pharmaceutical, Chemical Plant, Semi-conductor, or as well as complex lab facilities•Familiar with Industry/Safety Standard and technical Code; Experience with project management with proved achievements•Familiar with government’s administrative processes of project management•Leadership skills and strong sense of customer focus;•Good interpersonal and communication skills;•Fluent spoken English;•Good computer skill, AutoCAD is a must;

•Familiar with facility technical Code and construction administrative process•Solid experience in facility engineering design or project management•Excellent communication skill

GE中国研究开发中心（CTC）是GE公司四个全球研发中心之一，是跨业务集团、跨研究领域的研发机构，为GE各业务集团提供基础科学研究、新产品开发、工程开发和采购服务。

中心坐落于上海张江高科技园区，占地面积47,000平方米，于2003年5月投入使用，是国内最大的独立外资研发机构之一，也是国内极少数具有基础科学研究能力的企业研发中心。

GE中国研发中心现有研发人员1400多人，60多个拥有世界一流设备的实验室，其研究力量主要集中在以下领域：

• 清洁能源，包括洁净煤、风电、太阳能发电等；
• 水处理与海水淡化；
• 材料科学，包括纳米材料、晶体、陶瓷，材料分析；
• 电力电子和实时控制；

GE中国研发中心每年完成100多个研究项目。截至2009年底，GE在中国的研发人员共申请了450余项专利。
