Sourcing Engineer (Pump)  

• Continuously develop and optimize supplier base in accordance with the commodity’s strategy and company’s growth;

• Identify and implement material cost reduction ideas to reduce total cost of ownership by negotiation, cost breakdown, should cost analysis, cost drivers and supplier consolidation;

• Work with other departments of Engineering, Planning, Quality and Finance to carry out RFQ for new projects, localization and solve supplier related issues;

• Working in interdisciplinary Teams, e.g. purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Departments and Supplier;

• Negotiation/setting up of contracts (price, quantity, terms of delivery, terms of payment, etc.) for new suppliers or new parts;

• Purchasing Planning (Strategy, Quantity, Pricing)

• Responsible to develop and maintain business relationship with suppliers ;

• Responsible for working with SQE on supplier development and improvement ;               

• Other tasks assigned by line manager

    

Education and/or Experience:  

• Bachelor degree in Mechanism or related fields in engineering.

• At least 3 years of working experience for sourcing skill or R&D background;

• Good experience within mechanical components and the related machining process knowledge.

• Good experience for supplier capacity management, performance and capability review.

• 5. Experience in Casting, Forging and machining in Pump or Valve industry

• Must have the drive and initiative to continuously reduce costs and implement changes.

• Good statistical and analytical/comparative abilities.

• Team player with good interpersonal skills and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.

• Working knowledge of computers and proficient with PC software.

• Good English Communication.
