JOB SUMMARY

Create, develop, negotiate and manage partnerships between both FWI and HCM and a core group of global vendors, contractors and manufacturers to ensure maximum competitive advantage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Sourcing and Supplier Management

• Develop new suppliers as required for programs and projects

• Assist with vendor qualification process as required

• Mitigate supplier issues through negotiation and problem-solving

• Supplier score card measurement and performance review

• Act as a knowledge resource for Fleetwood regarding supply chain for store fixture, furniture, and related products. The ability to choose the best solution for a particular client or project based on specific attributes and needs.

• Present and negotiate win-win opportunities and agreements

• Track supplier performance against established criteria, and assist in the on-going development and execution of standardized procedures for all suppliers; qualification, supplier KPI’s including cost, quality and on-time performance and service levels.

• Collaboration with other departments, such as sales, procurement, engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance, to identify supply chain needs.

• Develop strategic partnerships with primary suppliers, understand their capacity, growth goals and help to determine the ideal volume of work annually they that will avoid risk but also give us leverage, while meeting company standards for quality, cost/budget, and eco-social responsibility.

• Capacity monitoring: monitor and report out across companies’ real time capacity constraints and or openings of our primary China suppliers.

• Analyze the company’s current and forecasted needs against our current supplier resources, and proactively develop additional resources as needed.

• Help to development and implementation of technology solution for supplier data management. Create companywide accessible data base of all current approved suppliers list relating to China fabricators and component suppliers as well as the report cards for those suppliers.

• Analyzes and controls expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.

• Works with the Leadership Team in the development of strategic plans to accommodate corporate goals. Implements those plans.

• Cross company reporting of supplier KPI / performance.

• Reporting out to suppliers on performance and corrective action plans, and monitor compliance.

• Hire and supervise staff as needed to achieve corporate objectives.

• Provide guidance, leadership and overall support on any sourcing issues relating to operations, communication and revenue enhancement, standardizing procedures and executing processes. Monitoring staffing needs and hiring staff in sourcing functions. Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met.

• Responsible for maintaining professional communication with suppliers and internal customers regarding sourcing needs. This would include utilization of standard reporting, email and phone contact in addition to conference calls and on site meetings.

• Keep abreast of emerging changes and innovations in sourcing through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations. Integrate relevant global sourcing knowledge/processes/methods/nomenclature with the company’s Estimating, Purchasing and PM internal controls to improve and optimize workflow, efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in development and conducting of necessary training programs.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of generally accepted sourcing techniques for the custom store fixture industry.

• General knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes related to the custom store fixture industry.

• General Knowledge of the custom store fixture supplier network.

  EDUCATION

• A 4 year degree or experience equivalent in related field.

SKILLS

• Good negotiation skills

• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.

• Proficient skills in MS Office software.

• Ability to delegate and monitor work assignments, and sets expectations.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Professional oral and written communication skills.
