Overall Purpose of Job:

· The Test Engineer is responsible for OSS products testing system integration and reporting. Maintenance and calibration of test facilities.

Major Responsibilities:

· Support test facility set-up, equipment installation and commissioning.

· Develop testing procedures and work instructions based on ZF global testing standard and specifications.

· Analysis of the given product specification and derivation of the necessary testing activities

· Independent handling of several programs parallel with mainly new, innovative technology

· Direct customer contract person concerning testing related items.

· Co-ordination/analysis and documentation of complex, test series

· Prepare full test report per ZF standard.

· Organize, set up, and conduct tests and vehicle measurement in customer locations or other locations or test facilities for all OSS products like SBS, Airbag, SWS, and Electronics.

· Perform equipment service & maintenance.

· Target oriented planning and continuous updating of the expected test volume

· Communicate with product design, application and system engineers and the ZF global test organization.

· DVP&R with application & system engineers.

· Soft skills and second function as stated in training plan

· Acquisition test cost

Key Competencies:

· General knowledge of engineering testing and measurement and test data capture/sampling and processing, eg. Lab view, Diadem

· Good knowledge in development of Restraint Systems for Vehicle specific safety concepts.

· Good computer software and programming knowledge. Proficient in productivity software (i.e., Microsoft Office, LINBUS, Lab view, etc.)

· Fluent English language both in oral and written.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of team.

· Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings. Working knowledge in making sketches and drawings for lab fixtures(i.e. CAD, CATIA, UG)

· Familiar with occupant safety system and vehicle designs and testing is a plus.

· Programming knowledge in testing aspect is a plus.

· Vehicle industry，especially on E/E is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Educational:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Electrical Engineering /Automotive Engineering or its equivalent.

Experience:

· Minimum 1-3 years experience in engineering testing in automotive or similar industry.
