Supply Planner is the operational responsible link between IKEA and the suppliers. SP assures that agreed
business setups are updated in the systems in order to achieve full availability at lowest landed cost and
constantly looking for business improvements towards these goals.
SP works in material-oriented teams in close cooperation with Business Developers and Technicians in the TA
and together with Need Planners at IoS , BA Specialists & SDR function in Regional supply teams.
ASSIGNMENTS (main responsibilities) maximum 10 points
Ensure agreed service level by monitoring and taking required action on:
Supplier's lead time, secure delivery performance and information visibility.
Agreed capacity levels at supplier.
Goods in transit, especially delays.
Sales & stock development in the IKEA pipeline and at supplier in relation to forecasted need.
Identify, implement and maintain the best logistical offer at the sales place from suppliers by working
actively with replenishment solutions, lead times and transport optimization.
Work closely with IKEA suppliers to provide them with relevant information, training, working methods
and help them develop to the required performance levels.
Proactively work with alarm /early warning systems to detect and prevent future deviations from goals.
Follow-up, analyze and take actions to continuously improve supplier performance.
All the time assure that our systems are updated with correct parameters (information) by updating or
communicating update requests to responsible functions within the Supply Chain including suppliers.
Actively contribute for best set-up of news/outgoing/activity items.
Daily troubleshooting and at the same time find solutions to avoid similar future problems.

Knowledge
- Relevant University degree or equivalent knowledge from working experience
- Strong knowledge of supply chain cost drivers.
- Strong knowledge of logistics including different replenishment- and delivery solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the production planning processes.
- Good knowledge of the whole supply chain from raw material to customer and who does what.
- Good understanding of transport.
- Fluent in English.
