Our Technology Development Department is looking for a Vaccine Upstream Process Scientist to support Zerun’s vaccine discovery efforts and advance our technology platforms and expertise. The successful candidate will set-up new upstream processes and analytical methods for the production of novel early-stage vaccine candidates.

The key responsibilities are:

• Set-up of new cell culture process platform in collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Support Upstream Quality by Design studies (Determination of CPPs & Design Spaces)

• Analytical method development (ELISA, HPLC, online PAT) for the characterization of fermentation and cell culture processes

• Understanding & characterization of metabolic pathways and correlation with CQAs

• Provide staff trainings in cell culture and Design of Experiments

  The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Hands on experience in cell culture process development

• Familiarity with protein chemistry, bioprocessing and protein analytical technology

• Ability to analyze, interpret and effectively present data at group meetings

• Ability to write reports and work and communicate across different departments

• Analytical thinking skills, curiosity, self-motivation and willingness to improve

  Required Qualifications:

• This role is best suited for a scientist with a Master/ PhD degree in biotechnology or another related scientific field. You have a basic proficiency or willingness to learn

• Prior experience with data analytics/ bioanalytical development

• Proficiency in MS Office and graphic software (Origin/ GraphPad Prism).
