Key Responsibilities for Regulatory Affair

? Keep tracking the developments of new or modified regulations in Asia (especially for China, Japan and Korea) relating to chemical inventory, food contact/additive, cosmetics and biocides and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance.

? Register chemicals: Prepare the registration dossiers and submit them to the authorities and follow up.

? Assess the regulatory compliance of company products and EHS practices in relation to the Asian regulations.

? Understand and communicate trends that are relevant and have implications to company products, applications and markets.

? Provide advice and guidance on EHS product requirements to project teams for support of commercialization.

? Receive and answer to enquiries customers on chemical inventory, cosmetics, biocides and food contact/additive regulations.

? Check compliance of sample delivery and approve accordingly.

? Check compliance of raw material and approve accordingly.

? Provide supports to other departments (e.g. SCM) ensuring compliance

? Understand and communicate the potential impact of the relevant government policies and initiatives to business.

? As lab safety specialist lead safety meetings with lab support and implementing safety rules according to company standard and local regulations

Key Competencies:

? Degree in chemistry, polymer material, toxicology or other related academic disciplines and interest in learning Asian regulations

? 2-5 years’ experience in Regulatory Affair, Product Safety or Product Stewardship

? Sensitive to customer needs

? Very good interpersonal and communications skills

? Initiative and high level of self-motivation.

? Able to do own work independently

? Good team player

? Sense of urgency

? Self-starter

? Fluency in Chinese and English. Japanese is a plus.
