Job Description

IT Infrastructure System Administrator with a focus on maintaining, upgrading and managing our technical infrastructure in China.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring / control IT Infrastructure in China as system administrator

• Monitor the systems performance according to global standards
• Local operated systems from hardware, storage, network, Hyper V virtualization and Operating system
• Maintenance of standard enterprise communication technologies (e.g. E-mail, MS Outlook, SMTP, MS Skype for Business)
• Hardware support for local clients and involvement of local partners (pc, laptops, printers, server)
• Local maintenance of unified communication solution (CISCO), phone communication and related provider contracts
• Operations of local clients / workplaces based on global standards: Microsoft SCCM / Microsoft Windows client OS

Local IT Service management

• Manage and control local incidents based on ITSM software according to ITIL framework IT management processes
• Proactive analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues
• Troubleshooting issues and outages
• Client OS and application support, license management, local ticketing system etc.

Support of global infrastructure projects e.g. role outs global system standards under guidance of central IT

• Hands on experience of installing and configuring software and hardware (DC / network)

Coordination of and relationship management with external vendors: Control IT infrastructure tasks from external parties

Support of migration and transition projects from inhouse server operations to external outsourcing

Coordination of internal IT infrastructure work packages and coordination between IT staff

Close cooperation with local IT Application support who is responsible to operate local applications beyond OS level

Ensure infrastructure security through access controls, backups and firewalls based on global guidelines / policies

• Upgrade systems with new releases in coordination with global teams
• Maintenance tasks related to Cyber Security Law
• In charge of governmental CSL-audits and customer CSL-requests

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Good knowledge and practical experience of/with standard enterprise communication technologies (e.g. E-mail, MS Outlook, SMTP, MS Skype for Business).
• Basic understanding of enterprise system and software management and maintenance and related products (e.g. SCCM).
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN, VPN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. IPSEC, intrusion detection systems, Proxy) and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with Microsoft and Linux operating systems (Windows Server 2012, Active Directory,)
• Experience with Network and Routing protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, QoS)
• Previous experience with products from Cisco and Checkpoint
• Good understanding of basis network services (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)

• Good English knowledge (speaking and writing )
• Excellent communication skills and team player attitude
• Extra professional certification (e.g. MCSA and/or CCNA/CCNP) are a plus
• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
