Job Title: CAE ANALYST

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE:


Responsible for working closely with design, performance and analysis teams to optimise engine performance levels and system specifications and to make recommendations for design changes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Arrange and attend project review meetings
· Communicate analysis requirements and results to project team
· Responsible for delivery of CAE activities (FEA, dynamic simulation) in accordance with project requirements
· Analysis will use Ricardo's own software tools (WAVE) as well as AMESim, Flowmaster and other Unix and PC tools
· Support design performance reviews
· Report project issues to project team via email, telephone etc and present responses to customer
· Work with Ricardo programme team to identify and develop solutions to technical issues
Necessary training will be provided which may include periods in Europe or USA.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:


· A strong ability to work independently, demonstrative initiative and able to present technical results;
· Ability to communicate in a team is essential;
· Have experience in the automotive engineering industry for minimum 3 years
PERSON FIT:
· At least 5 years experience in a design analysis function in Automotive industry
· Qualified to degree level or higher with technical background in base engine and / or transmission design analysis, preferably with experience of European, US or Japanese products
· Proficient in English and Mandarin languages (written and spoken) for project and technical communication
· Literate in automotive analysis tools (FEA, CFD, cycle simulation tools, 1-D gas dynamics software) and processes used for powertrain design analysis
· Understanding of material specifications
