Roles & Responsibilities:

• Help to develop and implement a colour approval process in region
• Recruit & train a colour team to manage colour approval in region
• Track and maintain records for lab dips, strike offs and bulks for fabric and trim approvals
• Complete approvals in a timely manner to maintain on time delivery
• Work with the fabric suppliers to resolve problem on lab-dipping and bulk colours
• Have a good understanding of fabric printing
• Monitor vendor colour performance, issue monthly KPIs
• Identify training needs of associates, suppliers, team members and ensure necessary training is provided
• Establish good working relationships with suppliers, merchandising teams and Australian colleagues
• In charge of color standard ordering, issuing and supply
• Be able to manage multiple tasks and projects

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma/Degree in Textile Chemistry or related disciplines
• Solid experience (minimum 8 years) in textile colour evaluation of apparel is preferred
• Experience in managing and developing a team
• Extensive knowledge of dyes and dyeing techniques for varies fibre1 contents and fabric structures
• Thorough understanding of visual and instrumental colour evaluation procedures with accurate and consistent technique: ability to use spectrophotometer, light boxes and other colour tools
• Dynamic and strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Working experience in garment buying office/fabric mills
• Excellent in both written/spoken English
• Proficiency in PC operation, MS office, Excel and Colour Systems
• Occasional travel within China is required
