2.0 Job Purpose

To aggressively develop and expand the LCL, FCL, AIR, ROAD and project transportation business of Scan-Shipping China. To represent and promote the Scan-Shipping brand in the market.

5.0 Job Responsibilities

• 
  Plan and execute sales calls
  

  
  

• 
  Communicate with overseas offices and agents for pricing matters

  
  

• 
  Prepare quotations and proposals to clients

  
  

• 
  Pricing negotiations with clients

  
  

• 
  Prepare client profiles and visit reports

  
  

• 
  Provide market and rate information to pricing desk (operations department)

  
  

• 
  Prepare sales pipeline and quarterly individual targets

  
  

• 
  Control sales expense to meet the expense budget

  
  

• 
  Mentor and coach junior sales people

  
  

• 
  Communicate and cooperate with other departments to carry out joint-functional tasks/processes.

  
  

• 
  Carry out any other duties as instructed by his/her superior.

  
  

6.0 Job requirements

• 
  Minimum 8 years work experience for a forwarder / 3pl

  
  

• 
  Minimum 4 years in a sales or sales related position

  
  

• 
  Proven track record in sales to China controlled accounts (CIF export/FOB import)

  
  

• 
  Network of shippers, consignees and carriers in the local market
