Job Function/Purpose.

Monitor product development projects issued by USA Design and Merchandising teams. Facilitate communications between Sourcing, Design Merchandise and factories to insure the project requests are understood by the factory and that the timeline for proper execution are met. Prepare, Update and Monitor the design project matrix. Monitor the initial sample production to insure that it meets Design and QA requirements. Assist Logistic, Planning and QA personnel in the progress of all "sold" programs. Trend research for new yarns, styles and technologies to advance and promote the Gildan sales efforts. Assist Sourcing in reviewing new potential resources. Assist Sourcing in monitoring and assessing the capacities at assigned factories and help identify voids and opportunities to maximize sales and value in all Gildan Business Units.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities

1.Prepare, update and Monitor Design request matrix to keep accurate track of all GILDAN projects at assigned vendors.
2.Report any problems to supervisor/GILDAN Global Sourcing/ USA Design teams immediately.
3.Communicate with factory personnel to inure complete understanding of the DR project.
4. Monitor, review and approve initial sample production to insure it meets the design and QA specifications.
5.Assist Logistic , planning , and QA personnel in monitoring the progress of all "sold" Programs
6.Trend research for new yarns and styles.
7.Assist Sourcing to review potential factories for future production.
8.Assess capacities at assigned factories and identify voids and opportunities to maximize sales and value in all business units.

Experience/Education Requirements

1. 2-3 year experience in Sock, Hosiery or Apparel industry a strong plus;
2. Ability to manage multiple task and deadlines;
3. Strong understanding of production processes. Extraordinary work ethic;
4. Computer skills; to include Excel, email and internet usage;
5. Organization skills; people skills to motivate suppliers to provide extra effort;
6. Must speak , read and write English;
7. Experience with US business practices a plus;
8. Must be able to travel extensively;
