Elektroskandia is the leading professional in the market of Telecom Network Installation material and Electrical Business with a history that dates back to 1917. Since 2008 the company belongs to the French family owned Sonepar Group, a global market leader in distribution of electrical products and related solutions. Elektroskandia China is today legally separated from the Swedish parent company, and acts as an own P/L unit under Sonepar Group. Since the startup ten years ago Elektroskandia China now have large customers within telecom, sustainable energy and cable & wire industries. Today the company has 150 employees and 1 billion RMB revenue.
Elektroskandia China is looking for an experienced Business Development Director to Shanghai
The role/responsibility
As the Business Development Director, you will have a strategic role to set up team targets and business plans, and are overall responsible of developing and leading the Business Development Team, which includes three core business segments (telecom, sustainable energy and wire & cable). You will also manage the sales team and remote office in Shenzhen to develop new Chinese telecom key accounts. Strengthen and grow existing business with existing customers within the three segments. You also need to develop and lead the strategic M&A activities and find new distribution networks.
Experiences and personal qualities
To succeed in the role you need to be a natural leader, with a strong character and communication skills, both internally and externally. You also possess the strategic mindset that can take the company to the next level. You have several years of experience in similar positions within sales or business development management. You also have extensive material outsourcing and supply chain management experience from B2B wholesale industries, preferably within telecom and electronic components.
You need to have previous experiences of sourcing industry in China, and should be familiar with the Western culture and working environment. You need to be native in Chinese and fluent in English. You have a broad business understanding for Western as well as Chinese cultures.
