Role Summary/Purpose

This GGO China IT Project Manager role is to use creative, innovative and emerging technologies to support various GGO China growth initiatives, simplification and Fins Op. This individual will work closely with GGO China business leaders and their team to identify, recommend, develop and implement IT technologies. Empower the company external & internal efficiency through digitalization and innovation.


Essential Responsibilities

- Build partnerships, support and connect with GGO China business leaders and functional teams to create the long and short term information system plans that supports business growth and drive simplification
- Provide operational business solutions program leadership for the planning, direction and implementation of major technology adoption and deployment with in country wide impact. Set up multi-generation IT plans to drive business process impact
- Leverage existing solutions and global GE designs to drive standardization & simplification to reduce implementation timelines and costs
- Act as subject matter expert, partnering with multiple business clients and stakeholders to evaluate and improve business processes and determine technology solutions
- Explore new technologies, share new ideas and trends within global and regional IT team. Promote new technologies to enable business growth with increased efficiency and reduced cost and timeline
- Create a consistent communication rhythm on organization, program status, operation as well as performance & availability metrics with functional partner and within IT team
- Be a change leader for integrating current and emerging information technologies into sustainable business solutions
- Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness


Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering is preferred — additional technical majors or business major with technical concentration may be applicable.
- 5+ years of working experience including minimum of 3 years in business solution IT implementation
- Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in business relationship management
- Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
- Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
- Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
- Proven program management skill
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and take action on business priorities
