SUMMARY:

As a key member of Analogic Shanghai engineering team, the personnel for this position will support Senior Software Engineer with software design and development efforts for products or concepts, he/she will also have the chance to lead/own his own software projects.

This position requires knowledge of software engineering principles and concepts.

DUTIES:

• Development of software tools for engineering development and test on Windows

• Key contributor of software development projects.

• Works with team members to define requirements.

• Generates and reviews written system design specifications.

• Support with reviewing code to satisfy design requirements.

• Generates and executes software verification procedures, including documenting results.

• Generates software releases.

• Must perform requirements management tasks (generation and tracing of requirements)

• Directs and trains other technicians in software installation, configuration and operation

• Performs other duties as required.

  Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor or greater, background of computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or related.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication is essential

• 3+ years Java "hands-on" development experience

• Strong Object-Oriented design & development skills

• Strong Computer Science fundamentals

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Must have ability to "own" projects

• Committed to the company’s mission and values

  Preferred Qualifications:

• C, C++, or python is highly desirable

• Working knowledge of SCM tools such as: JIRA, GIT, ClearCase etc.

• Ability to debug software platform stability issues and app crash problems

• Technical documentation skills

• Experience with medical devices and/or working in a regulated environment a plus

• Medical imaging experience, DICOM standard, radiology workflow experience a plus

• The ability to travel domestically and to the US
