Position: Product Developer - Shanghai
Client Summary:
With more than 150,000 employees, this international company is a leader in the home furnishing industry. You will be part of the product development center in China to develop a strategic product range for global needs. They need you to apply a new approach in product development for a strategic market.
Responsibilities:
- Translate the company values into good products regarding function, form, price and sustainability.
- Generate growth by creating new products that sell more than those they replace.
- Start up and lead the production development with the business team to keep deadlines according to plan.
- Work closely with suppliers to develop new products based on the reality of production, using new materials and techniques.
- Involve customers in the development in order to be inspired by their dreams and ideas on a better life.
Requirements:
- Experience in home furnishing.
- Minimum 10 years experience in one or more of the following; home furnishing, product development, design, retail, purchasing or supplying.
- Experience of leading projects from start to finish.
- Knowledge in business and sales, production and material conditions, store and customers, suppliers.
- Passion for home furnishings.
- Strong drive, decisive analytical and business minded. Creative, well structured and well organized.
- Communicative, able to motivate and inspire others as well as create networks and strong working relationships with others.
