Reports to: Vice President – Specialty Carbon, Asia-Pacific

The purpose of the position

Responsible for the Polymer Regional Marketing of Specialty Carbon Black (SCB) in Asia Pacific to ensure a substantial and sustainable profitable growth of Polymer Business. Design and execution of short to midterm strategies to expand currently served diverse markets and to unravel additional profitable markets to guarantee the competitive advantage. Actively work with Regional Technical Marketing and coordinate Product Development, Safety & Health, Quality & Complaint Management as well as Regional Sales in line with the global strategy in order to achieve above tasks.

Core Tasks

1. Responsible to develop, implement and control the regional marketing strategy set and agreed with Global Marketing Manager for Polymers as well as Regional Head of Specialty Carbons

2. Provide pricing guide lines

3. Develop channel strategy and distribution policy

4. Establish regional growth plan reflected to 3 years budget, and define target and action by country

5. Control actual business development (contribution margin, sales, volume) and initiate countermeasures when needed

6. Responsible for regional key account as well as coordination for regional accounts with cross countries activities directly communicating with customers

7. Coordination of the regional organisation (Production, Product Safety, Sales, etc.) according to the marketing strategy set for this position (pricing, product portfolio, imports, investment & capacity planning, product quality, process optimization and procurement)

8. Representing company and products externally (customers, associations, conferences, etc.)

9. Initiating and compiling content of promotional material, websites and other communication tools

10. Monitoring relevant trends and ensure gathering market intelligence

11. Manage CRM database with SFDC

12. Active lead in complaint handling

13. Provide monthly market updates including market/ customer demand/ competitor/ Industrial trend etc.

14. Responsible for regional product launch processes (i.e. identification of target customers, pricing strategy, promotional activities, coordination of involved departments)

Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree or above in Chemistry or Chemical engineering

2. MBA educational background and/or equivalent business background (e.g. Global/Regional management leadership position with sound business understanding > 5 yrs, or Experience in Marketing or business related function > 5 years)

3. Excellent global business and market related knowledge in carbon blacks or pigment and/ or in polymer/ Plastic application/processing, preferred.

4. Excellent skills in strategic/ international Marketing

5. Excellent Management leadership, presentation, communication and consultative skills

6. Fluid written and spoken English

7. Analytical, strategic, conceptual, project management skills

We will provide the customers in Greater China with wide range of product portfolio from 3 regions to meet various requirements, by highly educated sales team under the support of highly trained technical managers.
