Job Purpose and Objective

Build Swire Bulk’s breakbulk/unitized/general cargo business in China. Develop industrial clients’ relationship in breakbulk sector.

Primary duties and responsibilities

§ Responsibility for business development and cargo booking with Chinese breakbulk shipping counterparts

§ Develop new lines of business for Swire Bulk along the routes of the “Belt And Road Policy”.

§ Help to strengthen Swire Bulk’s existing lines of business: Southbound (China - ANZ) and Eastbound (China - WCNA).

§ Manage key relationships with industrial client and freight forwarders.

§ Stay connected with local market and investigate in new development plans with Chinese industrial counterparts.

§ Promote Swire Bulk service to China Local Clients

§ Gather and provide market information to Managers for service design

§ Communicate with internal stake-holders to make sure smooth service for clients/partners.

Job Specification

§ Minimum 5 years’ cargo booking/commercial experience with a breakbulk operator/owner/forwarder, with a full understanding of Chinese breakbulk shipping market.

§ Good written and oral English

§ Strong Business acumen and client facing skills

§ Passions, willing to take challenges independently

§ Experience for Intra-Asia/Asia-America routes is preferred

§ Kknowledge and connection with Chinese and Asian ports and suppliers is a plus
