Job Summary

• This position is the top level functional owner to oversee and manage the Total Quality Management process across all Product Categories and all Product Suppliers of Targus

- Product categories: Electronics and Computer peripherals, Computer soft cases, Tablet & Phone cases

- Supplier base: Guangdong, North China, Taiwan and other Asia Pacific countries

• The main responsibility covers,

- New Supplier / Product qualification

- Supplier quality management (QC & QA)

- After-sales / Customer quality support

- Product regulatory compliance management (electrical, chemical & others)

- Corporate social responsibility

• This position requires aggressive ad collaborative work alongside with internal peers, suppliers and customers to develop and implement World Class Quality Management proces
• This position requires considerable travel and on-site participation at supplier and customer locations

Primary Responsibilities

• Define and implement World-Class quality management process to cope with Targus corporate business strategy
• Supervise the Quality & Compliance work teams, with operations spreads across various geographical locations
• Establis KPI for quality performance tracking
• Assess supplier capability and lay down continuous development plan; Uphold the authority on supplier qualification
• Assure new production qualification with respect to quality and regulatory compliance requirement
• Assess the production quality and assure the quality of delivered product
• Keep track on the periodic update on national regulatory compliance requirement
• Define the CSR control process to fulfill Targus and customer requirement
• Lead to resolve cusotmer quality compliant. Approve all quality incident investigation, resolution and reporting. Drive for lesson learnt and preventive action
• Establish quality link with OEM and business customers and to win total customer satisfaction
• Participate regular QBR with suppliers to drive for continuous quality improvement
• Promote the quality culture in the organization; develop the quality competency of the work team

Requirement

• Degree in Engineering disciplines (preferably electronics or electrical). An MBA is desirable
• More than 10 years work experience

- with at least 5 years worked in MNC in product design, engineering or quality functions, and

- with at least 5 years in senior management position, and

- experienced in supplier management / development

• Proven track record in team management and people competency development
• Proven track record in working with prominent international brands
• Basic knowledge on national regulatory compliance standards, e.g. UL, CE, EMC, LVD, ErP, RoHS, REACH, Prop65,...
• Basic knowledge in CSR management standards, e.g. EICC, ISO14001, QC08000, OHSAS18001, BSCI, SEDEX, ....
• Knowledge in cut-&-sew and plastic injection molding would be beneficial but not a must
• Ability to work in highly competing industrial environment, with strong desire to win ; Ability to drive and lead changes
• Strong personal leadership & be self-initiative; strong analytical, problem solving, coaching, interpersonal & communication skills
• Good presentation skill (well versed in Powerpoint and Excel)
• Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin and Contonese) communication
