Job purpose

Fingerprint Cards (FPC) is looking for experienced software engineers for customer projects in China. These exiting customer projects are related to the latest technologies within Smartphones, Fingerprint technologies, Iris technologies, Android platforms and device drivers. The candidate will serve multiple customers.

Key responsibilities and accountability - includes but is not limited to:

* Software Engineer to adapt and integrate SW drivers for the customer solution.

* HAL (Hardware Adaptation Layer)

* SPI, I2C or I3C bus integration

* HW bring up

* Debugging and resolution with existing code base

* Cooperating with global development teams

* Cooperating with external customers

* Onsite customer support

Requirements

Requirements:

* 5 years’ experience on mobile platform development area (e.g. Camera, NFC, Connectivity chip-sets, Iris or Fingerprint integration)

* Bachelor degree with major degree in computer science, electrical engineering or relevant disciplines

* Strong knowledge of and experience in Android system or Windows System, device driver models

* Experience in HW driver bring-up

* Experience in HAL development (Hardware Adaptation Layer)

* Experienced in implementing SPI interface bus for data communication

* Experienced in Security Software such as “TrustZone” or working under “TEE” (TEE = Trusted Execution Environment) or similar mobile security standard such as DRM.

* Strong C programming and debugging skills required

* Good English communication skills - able to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner. Good spoken and written English.

* Willing travel to customer sites and other FPC office locations to co-develop next generation smartphones

* Able to travel to FPC Sweden and FPC Shanghai for training and business purpose.

Expected Behaviours

The position involves customer projects, integrating the unique FPC Fingerprint and Iris solution to customer products. The candidate must be self-going, used to take own initiatives and also have experience to deal direct with customer and solve technical issues. The role includes traveling to the customer sites within the region, sometimes also to other regions.

Fingerprints develops biometric systems comprising sensors, algorithms, software and packaging technoligies. The success is based on product development at the cutting edge of technology, which results in world-leading products in terms of security, convenience and performance. The current product range consists largely of fingerprint sensors and customers are primarily manufacturers of smartphones and tablets, where the company is market leading. As the use of biometric solutions increases, Fingerprints is working to broaden their offer by using different biometric techniques, or modalities, and to identify other market segments where the solutions can be used, such as smart cards, PCs, automotive and online devices (IoT).
