Assistant Structural Engineer

Reports to: Structural Engineering Associate Director

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs basic structural analysis and design, using computer programs and design spreadsheets.

• Performs basic documentation and presentation work, including details and dimensions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred or equivalent professional experience.

• Knowledge of finite element analysis, performance-based design, and building information modeling are highly desirable.

• A firm grounding in the principles of structural mechanics, structural analysis and design, particularly as they relate to earthquake engineering
