Your New Role:

Lead Generation & Client Development
In partnership with Market Leaders and Practice Marketing Managers, you will research and provide analysis for identified new leads. You will be responsible for managing ongoing lists for targeted conversations and opportunities for client engagement.  In collaboration with Marketing Leadership, Graphic Designers and the Project Team, you will lead content development and final production of custom brochures for client development activities.

Prospect Management
You will produce and generate well-coordinated and compelling proposals, brochures and presentations which not only address client needs, but also clearly articulate the fundamental design challenge and opportunity for innovation. You will lead teams through the entire prospect process, from strategy to final proposal production. Working in InDesign, you will manage and produce the following materials:

• Proposals – In collaboration with Marketing Leadership, graphic designers and the project team, you will execute the design, content development and final production of proposals. This includes editing narrative, gathering images, proposal layout in InDesign, coordinating sub-consultant information, and ensuring the overall product adheres to the key messaging and is without error.

• Interviews/Presentations – preparation and support, ensuring quality of message; strong collaboration with Marketing Leadership.
  
  

Core areas of responsibility include but not limited to:

• In partnership with Practice Marketing Managers, organize and facilitate Go/No Go discussions to focus pursuit teams on the best opportunities.  High level of communication with Practice Marketing Managers to ensure efforts fit into the marketing plan for the larger firmwide practice.

• Manage Proposal Development - gather project images, gather sub-consultant information and collaborate with studio members to develop content while working to ensure quality

• Interviews/Presentations – preparation and support, ensure quality of message

• Produce Lead Generation and Marketing Collateral – In coordination with the Business Developer(s), develop and collect content, gather images, and manage the production process.

• Provide support for marketing requests, journal ads, conferences, event requests

• Attend marketing related meetings with the design studio, keeping track of upcoming client development initiatives and providing support where needed.

• Act as resource for design studios for marketing specific information and work with project teams to develop marketing copy and narratives

• In coordination with the Business Developer(s), perform marketing specific research (trends, competition analysis, new marketing growth opportunities, etc…)

• Collaborate with the global communications team to develop collateral material and advance PR awareness; interface with local PR agency to promote significant projects and thought leaders.

• Manage the process for collecting and entering accurate project data into databases (Deltek Vision, CRM, and OpenAsset), including project and resume InDesign files.

• Responsible for accuracy of information populated into firmwide tools (Deltek Vision, CRM, and OpenAsset)

• Maintain robust library of narrative for proposals, extracting custom content from completed submissions and ensuring content reflects current NBBJ messaging.

 

What You Will Need to Help you Succeed:

 

• 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications or other applicable discipline; ideally with a focus in English, Journalism

• Minimum of 5-6 years of industry/relevant experience

• Work experience in Asia required; Work experience in China preferred

• Experience in the A/E industry, preferably architecture highly desirable; Knowledge of corporate, commercial and healthcare practice are preferred

• Intermediate/expert understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

• Understanding of basic layout and graphic design principles

• Excellent writing and editing skills (writing samples are required); Ability to communicate complex information and ideas into effective storytelling through a variety of media – written, graphic, verbal, interactive

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask; able to apply sound judgment while working independently within tight time frames.

• Experience in proposal development for professional services firms (examples required)

• Proven success as a key member of a remotely located team.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative and creative environment

• Knowledge of Deltek Vision, OpenAsset, CRM and other databases

• Bilingual speaking and writing skills in English and Mandarin are required
