Key responsibilities

1. Independently drive and/or manage 1-2 research and/or strategy projects simultaneously, which include: project planning and structuring, identify and solve issues, making hypothesis and recommended action points as per the project requirement

2. Lead collection, analysis, and synthesis of market data

3. Lead qualitative and quantitative interviews /surveys across consumers, market experts, competitors, Clients’ internal team, and other key stakeholders

4. Drive strategy building and management-level report write up

5. Manage a team of 1-2 analysts in terms of project execution and career development

6. Assist with client engagement and in building client relationships

7. Participate in firm-building as required

Skills & qualifications:

1. Bachelor Degree from a top business school; MBA is preferred

2. 4-6 years of direct experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy, or industry research

3. A self-starter with a strong interest in marketing, consumer, and e-commerce

4. A highly independent and proactive individual with entrepreneurial mindset and superior work ethic

5. Highly analytical, creative, detail-oriented, and resourceful problem solver

6. Strong business acumen and commercial sense

7. A quick learner with ability to manage time independently and multi-task in high-pressure situations

8. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

9. Ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations and manage time independently

10. A strong team player with superior work ethic

11. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office

12. Native in Chinese and fluent in English; additional Asian language is a plus

We are currently looking to expand our Strategy team based in Shanghai, China. Successful candidate will engage directly with our execution and management team in China as well as in the US, and potentially with Client team, to work on various strategy projects related to market, consumers, and E-commerce. Opportunity may also be extended on working with our Supply Chain team on supply chain and operation related projects.
