The Marriott Development Planning and Feasibility function in China focuses on providing competitive insights to support the decision making process of various disciplines within the organization such as Development, Brand and Operations. Primarily, the team is responsible for producing in-depth market and economic evaluations of potential business opportunities for all Marriott lodging products in China to support the Company in achieving its expansion goals in new markets and long-range growth strategy.
JOB SUMMARY
This is a 6 months contract role. Position is based in either Beijing or Shanghai, China.

JOB SUMMARY
This is a 6 months contract role. Position is based in either Beijing or Shanghai, China.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Hotel Underwriting
- Prepare deal summaries and franchise reports for project board approval
- Compile competitors' facilities for new hotel projects
- Prepare maps for project reports
- Carry out desktop research on competitive market assessment
Brand Development
Translate English development marketing materials into Chinese
- Support new brand launch in China by conducting competitive landscape research
Strategic Review & Research
- Gather owner and hotel industry intelligence through desk-top research
- Participate in and support projects related to development strategies
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor degree in hotel management and / or tourism preferred
Experience and Skills
Internship experience in hotel consulting / operation areas; or- Previous working experience in hotel / real estate industry, including hotel development planning and feasibility
- Strong command of English language is a must
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong PowerPoint, written and verbal presentation skills
- Proficiency in online mapping tools including Google and Baidu
