Primary Function
Administer the China certification mark approval projects on behalf of CSA customers and coordinator for other countries approval under GMA scope for China Customers

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate & delegate between CSA Group regional offices, GMA Toronto and regional offices as required to accomplish project objectives. Respond to customer inquiries on China certification and related technical and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITY:

1） Respond to customer inquiries for information on China certification (i.e. China Compulsory Certification Mark / CCC Mark and any other China national requirements) and approvals concerning products to be imported to China. These inquiries can be related to technical as well as regulatory requirements.
2） Ensure that the goals of each project meet customer needs and are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, funding parameters and regulatory requirements. Activities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
3） Identification of project scope and estimated cost, lead time and applicable China government procedure;
4） Identify applicable safety standards for China approval;
5） Identify regulatory codes and laws for China approval;
6） Provide engineering inputs to testing facilities for product testing (i.e. specify tests to be performed);
7） Arrange alternative testing services with Domestic Partners and other organizations to complete projects when it makes more sense to be done elsewhere;
8） Customize engineering projects/reports to meet China local requirements;
9） Assign project tasks to certification engineers for review of non-CSA test reports. Assignment can also includes additional testing of client’s products;
10） Review engineering reports for completeness;
11） Ensure all applicable forms are completed properly;
12） Ensure project cost and obligations are met
13） Keep up-to-date on China certification requirements. Research and gather information and updates on China technical requirements, government regulations, administrative guidelines and working practices and forms for China approvals. Provide relevant information to be compiled and maintained in the controlled GMA. Inform and direct internal staff on national deviations and country specific Safety Standards and requirements associated with the preparation of engineering reports utilizing GMA’s global news /technical update structure to internal and external
14） Provide point of Contact for CSA customers for China approval; cooperate internally with GMA Toronto for China certification service offering to avoid internal conflicts.
15） Coordinate between GMA Toronto and GMA regional offices to deliver one-stop service to China customers for other countries.

Work Environment
1） Work is carried out in an office environment where exposure to undesirable or hazardous conditions is remote.
2） The job requires local and overseas travel once or twice a year for duration of one to two weeks.

Preferred Education & Experience
1） Bachelor degree in Engineering and/or equivalent
2） 4 years industry experience and preferably 2 years experience with China local certification standards.
