Associate - Verifier/Consultant

Candidate’s qualification includes, but not limited to the following:
1) Bachelor degree and above
2) Excellent English skills
3) Detail oriented and being patient
4) Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a plus
5) Related major (i.e. finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.) is a plus
6) CFA candidate or internship/working experience in finance is a plus

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
1) Input all clients’ performance in the system and find any discrepancy or error
2) Test the holdings and transactions of portfolios to validate the accuracy for different security types
3) Review the valuation policy for reasonableness and test the accounting treatment of investment income
4) Analyze and evaluate the client’s performance calculation
5) Evaluate the appropriateness of benchmarks of the composites
6) Review disclosure presentations and request for proposals (RFPs) for fair representation and full disclosure
7) Issue annual/quarterly verification reports on investment adviser’s claims of GIPS® compliance
8) Work closely with US colleague for any related questions and problems found

As a professional staff in Ashland Partners International Limited China office, employee should be developing the working knowledge of the GIPS® Standards and also be studying for the Principals section of the CIPM exam (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) from the 1st year unless he or she is currently enrolled into an equivalent or higher credential program, such as CFA and/or CIPM.
