job Overview
Amerigo Education seeks an Admissions Support Officer to support Amerigo’s Central Admissions Unit, working from our China office in Shanghai. The Admissions Support Officer is responsible for handling many aspects of the admissions efforts in a fast-paced, service and compliance-driven environment. Duties include responding to inquiries, evaluating transcripts, pre-interviewing prospective students, walking students through the I-20 process, and maintaining liaisons with families throughout the purchasing process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Admissions Support Officer will report to the Regional Director and perform the following duties:
? Provide ongoing support to students and families after an application has been submitted
? Effectively respond to all prospective inquiries.
? Assist prospective students with the application process and review qualifications for admission.
? Pre-Interview prospective students to determine their educational background and English skills.
? Educate prospective students on the benefits of attending Amerigo, including our high-quality academic programs, convenient locations, and Amerigo extra support.
? Provide counselling support for students, parents, recruiters and regional staff during the application process.
? Liaise with Amerigo’s school partner admissions teams to ensure student enrollment.
? Provide detailed CRM pipeline reports.
? Work closely with colleagues in other areas of the organization - specifically with Recruitment and Marketing.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
? 2-3 years of experience in the international education industry
? Ability to understand and convert international qualifications into U.S. standards
? Ability to help others from diverse cultures who have various levels of English proficiency
? Proficiency with technology and reporting programs/systems
? Excellent communication skills
? Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the work team
? Bachelor’s degree
