POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages domestic and/or international accounts receivable and promissory note accounts, analyzing accounts, identifying and reporting those requiring difficult collection procedures. Obtains information and credit references of persons, companies or institutions applying for credit. Performs repetitive and non-repetitive credit and collection functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? New Accounts: Directs, coordinates and administers accounts, reviewing and evaluating credit information provided by new account applicants for the purpose of establishing customer accounts, credit terms, and credit lines.
? Current Accounts: Reviews basic credit information for existing accounts for the purpose of evaluating credit worthiness and credit line.
? Collections: Contacts customers for the collection of notes and accounts receivable. Negotiates payment terms on special orders or past due accounts. Communicates with financial institutions regarding credit and collections.
? Dispute Resolution: Analyzes information pertaining to disputes, involves appropriate company personnel, and facilitates the resolution of problems.
? Performs all other duties as directed or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Required:
Experience in a finance, credit & collections or bookkeeping role with knowledge of credit and collection procedures and analysis of financial statements background. Effective oral and written communication skills required.
Education/Training Required:
Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree. Proficient in Microsoft Office software as well as SAP.
