The opportunity:
Silicon Labs is seeking a full-time IoT Integration Engineer to drive our Internet of Things (IoT) strategy and business development activities with particular focus in Greater China regions. Working in tune with IoT Business Manager, you will engage in executive-level, consultative selling with IoT and Connected Home market leaders including major Chinese Service Providers, Retailers, Platform Providers and Device Manufacturers. You will engage partners and customers to drive the integration of Silicon Labs connectivity (802.15.4, Bluetooth Smart and sub-GHz), MCUs and sensors. You will work closely with Field Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering and Company Leadership to grow our IoT Segment. What you will do:

Position offers an opportunity to:

- Work with and develop C- and VP-level relationships
- Develop working knowledge of IoT verticals

- Engage customers to position Silicon Labs best in class IoT products
- Engage and work with relevant test houses to drive certification process
- Work with 3rd party solution providers (i.e. module makers etc) to propose and deliver a working solution to end-customers, SI etc

More specifically:
- Explore and build relationship with potential domestic IoT ecosystems and platform makers
  - Identify emerging ecosystems and/or key platform players and understand the dynamics of relationship and development
  - Promote and position Silicon Labs as the preferred IoT solution provider including both silicon and software
  - Prospects include primarily domestic telco (i.e. China Mobile, China Unicom etc), internet service providers (i.e. BAT etc), H.A. device makers, cloud providers etc
  - Participate in joint promotional events in seek of business opportunities
- Work seamlessly with Country Managers and RSM, Distribution Business Manager, Field Marketing and channel teams to drive IoT share gain, thus design wins and revenue growth as key KPI
- Joint promotion with Field Sales at key strategic accounts like Huawei etc
- Explore SOC reference design partnership (e.g. MTK, ALi etc) and work closely with Field Marketing and AE teams to address and tackle ecosystem-related support issues, i.e. Co-ex PTA
- Collaborate with Boston Business Development team
  - Potential ecosystem/platform clients who are seeking for device makers in APAC
  - Asian based device makers who are looking for opportunities to sell into U.S. ecosystems
  - Cross-selling
- Establish, engage and drive partnership with key sensor, gateway & module makers, also wireless stack and cloud vendors
  - Create a mapping of friendly IDH, IoT design expertise, services and reference solutions/designs to facilitate the promotion and proof of concept (PoC) of our IoT offerings
  - Solicit and align company and channel resources to prioritize support on key projects
  - Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to arrive at a positive conclusion
- Promote awareness of Silicon Labs being a leading IoT solution provider
  - Collaborate and work closely with APAC Corporate Marketing team on relevant social and marcom activities
  - Network with and participate as member in various alliances (i.e. China zigbee Alliance, BT SIG etc) to uphold Silicon Labs image and reputation as well as to keep abreast of new standards and protocols in specific markets
  - Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and emerging trends
  - Present to and consult with mid and senior level management of companies on business trends, developing new services, products and distribution channels
  - Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that would potentially lead to an increase in sales
  - Continued learning of market knowledge, trends and competition; develop company unique selling propositions and differentiators

Requirements:
- A technology related bachelor degree or equivalent of training
- Proven FAE and technical sales track records or experience in positioning technical solutions
- More than 7 years experience of technical support works in wireless, embedded hardware or software or cloud product lines preferably to Chinese IoT and HA markets
- Knowledge of China overall IoT ecosystem trend and development
- Possess a good understanding in wireless ecosystems, deployment and support architecture particularly in HA
- Ability to recommend the most suitable connectivity standards and/or protocols to prospective customers
- Ability to understand not only at chip & board level but at IoT system architectural level
- Polished project management skill
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Entrepreneurial background and a proven business acumen
- Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Outstanding customer interface skills
- Critical and quick thinking
- Has the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Self-motivated and action oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
