Job purpose:
A NPI engineer follows the development of a product, and selects accordingly the most efficient technologies & processes to manufacture it, ensures at any moments the product can be mass produced in stable conditions.
A NPI Engineer is focused on a dedicated project, closely in contact with R&D team in France and EMS & suppliers in Shenzhen's surrounding, in the aim to select accordingly the specification and the manufacturing capabilities the most efficient technologies & processes to manufacture products with required quality.
Responsibilities involve respecting the delays & schedules, having designs which can be mass produced thanks to stable processes, and making sure the design will provide high quality products after assembly.
RESPONSABILITES (budget, delays, management, …) / TARGETS
1. Full technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
2. Follow evolution key technologies.
3. Lead the communication between R&D and suppliers & EMS.
4. Preparation of manufacturing flow chart.
5. Assembly feasibility check and risk evaluation.
6. Supporting the design team by validating mechanical parts, and definition of physical constraint.
7. Audit suppliers & EMS, confirm production and engineering capabilities.
8. Define the assembly line, assembly process and assembly flow chart in EMS plant for each product.
9. Design and implementation of new production units, monitoring of modifications, upgrades and issues in existing processes.
10. Ensure the process is working at the optimum level, right rate, and that outputs provide high quality products in quantity.
11. Define, design and provide fixtures to simplify the assembly process.
12. Inventory all the tooling owned by Kickmaker in supplier's plant.
13. In charge of maintaining the Kickmaker's data up to date by gathering all data from suppliers.
REQUIREMENT:
Experience:
-3~5 years relevant work experiences.
-At least 3 years in connected product field, R&D background in mobile phone or computer Industry is required.
-Educated level: College degree or above
-Major: Mechanism, electronic engineering or relevant
SKILLS:
-Plastic injection, Die casting, stamping, painting, SMT, Assembly, over molding, laser etching, project management.
-Proficient in 2D-3D CAD / Solidworks.
-Good interpersonal skills for both external and internal communication.
LANGUAGES :
-Good spoken and written English
