Job Roles

The Key Account Manager is responsible for generating sales and working with the internal sales team and organization to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and business objectives for the stampings activities.

Job Function

1. To position Baumann as a strategic supplier to key accounts.
2. To generate customer demands in order to meet company short and long term sales target.
3. To engage the customers regularly to understand the “Voice of Customer” and their business needs through regular visits, structured meetings, customer survey, etc.
4. To act as the key contact window for customers that required stampings parts.
5. To conduct customer and competitive analysis and define sales strategy for key accounts.
6. To receive customer RFQ and, prepare and submit quotation to customer on timely manner.
7. Participate in feasibility study when required.
8. Conduct price negotiation and contract review.
9. Work with Global Account Manager and Business Development Manager in market analysis, address customer needs and concerns, and to identify business opportunities.
10. Conduct price review based on price changes of raw materials, labor cost, etc. with Sales Director to determine course of action with customer.
11. To escalate customer complaints to higher level management if internal organization failed to take adequate action to resolve the issue on a timely manner. Participate in 8D team if required.
12. To develop business case for new project that required investment and present it to Management for consideration and decision.
13. Review monthly sales development with customer service team and take appropriate action to adjust inventory and discuss with customers if demand is reduce significantly.
14. Support the Head of Sales to define annual sales budget and long term sales target.
15. Follow up on account receivable if our Finance department failed to collect overdue payment from customer and take appropriate action when required.
16. Lead or participate in value engineering to improve customer service, product quality and product cost.
17. To perform special projects/assignments or additional tasks assigned by immediate supervisor.

Qualification and Requirement

- Bachelor in Engineering preferably in mechanical engineering
- At least 8 years experience in sales function
- Experience in dealing with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must. A third language such as German language will be an advantage
- Knowledge in SAP system is an advantage
- Must have outgoing personality and able to build strong relationship with customers.
- Must possess a structural problem solving and engineering mindset
- Must be a team player.
