As Account Director at Web2Asia you will be at the core of shaping and delivering E-Commerce services for foreign brand clients on the major Chinese marketplaces such as Tmall, Tmall Global, JD.com and JD worldwide. You will lead a range of activities from identifying opportunities to project managing the business solution implementation and ongoing client servicing in E-Commerce Operations and Performance Media Buying. The key mission of this role is to achieve stronger client relationships and grow the GMV of the E-commerce business together with your client servicing team including Account Managers and Account Executives as well as the Head of Operations and his team who are managing daily operations. You will report directly to the GAD / COO and are part of the extended management team.
Key responsibilities:
? Lead and develop company key E-Commerce accounts initiatives in E-Commerce Operations and Performance Media Buying and ongoingly evaluate and improve their effectiveness
? Provide strategic leadership and direction for the building of e-Commerce capability across the accounts servicing team including SAM's, AM's & AE's by planning and implementing programs and initiatives that improve overall client E-Commerce results.
? Inject the professional key account management mindset and skills and upgrade the key account client servicing capability via training, recruiting strong talent, joint planning and evaluation
? Building mid-level relationships with the major E-Commerce players to drive partnerships on a strategic level (TMall ,JD, Amazon China, etc.) ,including but not limited to negotiation of key account resources, Alimama advertisement relations, liaison with TP & Marketplace key account departments, etc.
? Work closely with cross functional teams, including Operation/Design Team, Customer Service teams, Payment & Logistics Team, IT, OMS & ad tech development team to identify and improve clients E-Commerce capabilities.
? Build strong partnership and strategic collaboration with supplier companies (CRM, warehousing, delivery, etc.)
Qualifications:
? Minimum of five (5) or more years of E-Commerce and / or Digital Performance Marketing experience, preferably on major Chinese marketplaces such as TMall and JD.
? Experience with planning, buying & optimizing media on Alimama Diamond Booth (钻展), Express Train (直通车) and JD Kuaiche and CPM.
? Experience in leading a team as AD, SAM, Marketing Manager or E-Commerce Manager in agency or on client side in digital marketing or preferably online retail in China Mainland.
? Track record in leading a cross-functional team beyond account management and including sales & marketing, supply chain & IT. Prior team leadership of at least 5-10 staff.
? Minimum of six (6) or more years combined experience in advertisement or digital marketing agency industry, E-Commerce or retail key account management, sales planning, account development, marketing and/or business development.
? A good understanding of the China E Commerce market and the ability to leverage key networks and contacts within the online space.
? Ability to drive strategy and change while managing, implementing, analyzing and reporting on numerous concurrent E-Commerce projects. Ability to navigate well in the fast moving China E-Commerce market.
? Superior analytical skills and experience applying data to make decisions
? Project management experience with demonstrated ability to prioritize work independently, delegate work to account management team and manage multiple projects and tasks.
? High level of initiative, social and team leadership skills
? Excellent written and oral communication skills (native Mandarin, excellent English) is a must.
