PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dual reporting to the General Manager China and General Manager APAC Appliances and Marketing (Australia based), you will be responsible to work with APAC regional teams & China E-Commerce team to produce, optimize and maintain digital content to improve customer experience and increase conversion. With the recent strategic cooperation formed between Spectrum & JD.com, you will play a crucial role to accelerate the contents development for 20+ flagship stores to be launched in China within coming 12 month.
You will work across multiple business divisions including Home and Personal Care Electrical Appliances, Auto Care, Pet, Hardware and Batteries. Brands include Remington, Russell Hobbs, George Foreman, Armor All, STP, Furminator, Nature’s Miracle, 8 in 1, Tetra, Kwikset, Baldwin and Varta.
You will lead the development of engaging consumer content required for Web, E-Commerce (Tmall, JD.com, Amazon, etc), Social Media, E-Newsletters and our Retail Partner’s Online Platforms. It will include :- video, photography, banners, newsletters, gift files, online promotions, written copy, etc.
Your success will largely be measured by the APAC growth in online sales, consumer engagement, reviews, retention and key online metrics. You will also be charged to optimize budgets for the content output and create assets which can be used cross regionally. The ability to create pool of quality third party marketing agencies in Shanghai/Beijing to deliver speedy quality contents with effective costs will also be your critical success measure. Some of the key KPI to be achieved through content creation include i) elevating brand image, ii) increase platform conversion ratio, iii) boost user retention and iv) create effective CPC.
You will need to Project Manage multiple jobs with multiple stakeholders simultaneously and be able to manage and communicate a WIP document with stakeholders and meet deadlines. Budget management will be critical to the role as will forming working partnerships with external agencies to produce the content.
Key job responsibilities of this position include the following:
1. CREATIVE CONTENT DEVELOPMENT:
? Work with APAC Regional Marketing teams to develop
o Digital content to meet the briefs and budgets from regional markets
o Analyze and optimize online content
? Work with China E-Commerce team to develop:
o Digital contents to meet weekly promotional variable brand elements
o Analyze platform data to evaluate the effectiveness of contents created includes, total UV, effective UV, page content retention seconds, page content conversion ratio, page content exit rate on weekly basis
o Create active variable platform contents for 5-10 hero sku, re-adapt platform content strategy with third party operator + agency on weekly basis
o Assist General Manager China to co-formulate online content strategy for critical festivals including 9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12, CNY, 6.18
? Work with third party E Commerce partners to
o Analyze and optimize online content
o Advise/provide content for online stores and promotions to drive brand awareness and consumer conversion
o Ensure optimal content is loaded within a timely manner
o Ensure brand guidelines are being incorporated into content
? Work with external agencies to
o Develop best in class online content on time and within budget
o Ensure brand guidelines are clear
o Ensure four party alignments before execution of contents; Spectrum, Platforms, Agencies & Third party online operators (if applicable)
2. PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
? Manage end to end content creation from brief through to upload
? Ensure all vested parties have access to a visual WIP document
? Prioritise critical projects by deadlines and financial return
? Manage talent usage and fees for content developed and ensure all stake holders have a visual document to clearly understand usage guidelines
? Create APAC online contents library so the contents can be easily shared and access across region
3. CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT:
? Utilize analytics to optimize content
? Focus on continual optimization improvement when creating assets
? Seek improved methods and processes to produce content at reduced costs
? Keep abreast of industry progress in content development, applications and optimization to benefit the business
? Take a leadership role to continually recommend to regions innovative ideas on how to create and optimize content
Qualifications:
? Formal multimedia qualifications.
? Prior experience in dealing with JD.com, Alibaba or Amazon is a MUST
? Agency experience – either working within an agency or with agencies to create content at sole contributor level
? Proficiency in both Chinese and English with polished verbal and written skills in both
? Strong knowledge of SEO and SEM
? Understanding and ability to interpret and form recommendations based on analytics
? Experience working with a variety of Content Management Systems would be an advantage
? Strong project management experience with both internal and external stakeholders
